are made with love
Does it hurt?
A little painful, yes, but the results are well worth it. You’ll eventually get used to the discomfort. Routine waxing helps to reduce the pain, and will minimize irritation.
What should I do to prepare for my visit?
You should arrive “freshened up” or if there isn’t time, we provide moistened “towelettes” for your convenience.
How long should my hair be?
Hair growth should be at least 1/4″ but not longer than 1/2″ (about 2 to 3 week’s growth) for the most effective waxing. Hair should be carefully trimmed if necessary, but is better a little bit longer than too short. If you prefer we can do it for you.
How long should I wait to get waxed after I’ve shaved?
You need some growth for the wax to adhere to the hair. Hair should be at least 1/4″ (about 2 to 3 week’s growth) for the most effective waxing.
How long will it last?
The results will last anywhere from ten days to three weeks. We recommend booking appointments every 4 to 5 weeks. The hair eventually gets softer and thinner every time it grows back.
What can I expect afterwards?
Let your skin heal. After you get your Brazilian wax, it is likely that your skin may be slightly irritated and possibly red. If this happens it will usually clear in a few days. Apply Polysporin at least once a day for 3 days to speed healing. Applying Tend Skin, PFB lotion regularly will also help to maintain smooth, soft, bump free skin.
What can I do about ingrown hair?
We recommend using a loofah sponge 24 hours after waxing. This is a great routine to do every day to get rid of the dead skin cells and help “lift” the hairs growing out. It will also help to speed up the hair removal process.
The benefits to Brazilian waxing?
You’ll feel all clean and shiny, and you’ll be slick during intercourse. The results will last anywhere from ten days to three weeks, with no maintenance, and there’s no shave that can get you this smooth. In fact, that’s the biggest benefit, no more shaving! For me, a Brazilian wax is the way to go. You eventually get used to the discomfort, and once you do you’ll never need to prop that leg up in the shower again. You’ll be happy. Your partner will be happy. It’ll be a smooth experience.
What are the drawbacks to Brazilian waxing?
You may still experience red bumps and ingrown hairs, just like with shaving. However, regular use of a loofah sponge will eliminate dead skin that prevents the now-weakened hair to get to the surface of the skin. Additionally, you have to go ten to fourteen days between wax jobs, so you’ll have a period of time with stubble.
Tell me more about your waxing
We are proud to offer “state-of-the-art” creme wax that is extremely gentle. The high titanium-dioxide content is heated at a lower temperature to perform a perfect depilation with little redness. Technical precision encourages less hair breakage and promotes fewer ingrown hairs. The procedure requires a special technique that native Brazilians do best. This type of wax is not one of the cheapest to use but its quality of attaching only to the hair and not to the skin makes the process less painful and easier.
